My mission for Nothing Concrete is to create a timeless lifestyle sustainable apparel brand — focusing on small batch production runs and inspiring people to follow their passion.
I have a burning thought that our time is limited and that we shouldn’t be following someone else’s plan for our lives. My goal with Nothing Concrete is to inspire people to follow their own path and take risks in life. If I can motivate or inspire one person to take a chance on something — whether it’s starting a new business, following their artistic passion or moving to a new country, it would be a success in my eyes. The brand is a constant reminder for me, and I hope a reminder for this community I’m building to embrace the uncertainty in life.
The format that speaks to me most is through clothing. It’s a daily reminder of what you’re wearing and what you’re doing. I plan to make clothing that enables my passions of the outdoors, skiing, running, the beach, and New York City. I aspire to make clothing that are truly sustainable and up to the same standards as Patagonia. I know it will take some time to get there and find the right partners but that’s my lofty goal and why I’m okay with creating more in this world, because if I can create clothing that’s truly durable, long lasting and with sustainable and ethical practices all while inspiring others to follow their own journey, it will be worth it.
